My name is Anthony Collova.
Smoke Blessings grew out of a 28-year journey through recovery, reinvention, and my lifelong pursuit for something sacred and real.

Incense is how I connect and commune with my higher power. Every stick is a prayer. My hope is that the intensity of my divine calling comes through in the quality of my offerings.

Modern Noise vs. Ancient Stillness

The Search for God in the Noise

For most of my adult life, I lived in two worlds at once. On the outside, I was building businesses, solving problems, and figuring out how to succeed. On the inside, I was carrying a much quieter search. A search for God. For truth. For the kind of peace and aliveness that success alone could never give me.

I didn’t always have language for that search. I just knew that even when things looked good from the outside, something deeper in me was still hungry. Smoke Blessings came from that deeper hunger. Not from ambition, but from the longing to live in closer relationship with what is sacred and real.

After everything I’d been through, recovery, business, Burning Man, sacred medicine, the dark night that followed, and the slow rebuilding of my life, incense was the thing that came through cleanest. It wasn’t a business idea. It felt like a calling.

When I’m blending resins, measuring herbs, and rolling sticks with my own hands, it doesn’t feel like manufacturing. It feels like prayer. It feels like alignment. Like all the years of searching, shedding, and being broken open were clearing the channel for something more honest to come through. That’s why I say I don’t make incense. I make prayer sticks.

Living the Ritual Every Day

Nature, silence, the clarity of sobriety, and the daily return to what matters, all find their way into my work.

Finding Silence in the Wild

My best ideas don’t come from a boardroom. They come from the trail. I spend as much time as I can in the mountains, away from the noise, where something in me settles and I can hear myself again.

Out there, everything gets simpler. The silence. The scale. The reminder that I’m part of something bigger than my own mind. That feeling stays with me when I come home, and it shapes the way I make incense.

The Anchor of Sobriety

I’ve been in recovery since my early-twenties, and sobriety has shaped nearly every part of my adult life. For a long time, I thought protecting it meant cutting out anything that felt adjacent to the world I had left behind. Music. Dancing. Art. Crowds. Ecstatic experience.

I stayed sober, but over time my life got smaller.

What I've come to understand is that sobriety was meant to bring me back to honesty and authenticity and to a life that I didn't want to run from. Ritual became part of that return, and lighting incense is one of the small daily acts that helps keep me there.

Forever a Student

Eventually I found my way home. Where sobriety and sacred medicine merged and I became who I was meant to be.
After 22 years of recovery, I returned to sacred medicine to go deeper into the truth of my recovery and heal those parts of my shadow that sobriety didn't touch.

Kambo. Ayahuasca. Iboga. Bufo.

Each one asked for more honesty, more surrender, and more willingness to face what I had not fully healed. It deepened my connection to the mystery of existance and guided me to where I am now.

The calling

Once I let go of the trauma and resentment that was holding me back from being my most authentic self, I saw it clearly.. Incense.

Incense has always been part of my daily practice. Lifting me up and anchoring me into the same ancient roots that I've been seeking my whole life. I just couldn't see the path until I removed the debris. Now it's clear at day.

A divine calling that pulls me towards creativity, fulfillment and God. Something I was always searching for but couldn't quite find.

A Clear Signal

Once I saw it, I took action. I started working with my hands. Failing mostly, connecting with the earth at every opportunity. Making, importing and studying incense in a way that feels real in my body and ecstatic in my heart.

That is what Smoke Blessings is to me. Not a trend or a brand concept. A clear signal. A calling I trust more deeply each time I answer it... and I couldn't be more excited to have you join me on my path.
